Week 2
Saturday, September 6th, 2025:
Virginia Vs NC State
Vegas: NC State -3
College Football Game Picker: NC State by 5.31
NC State played a much better opponent in Week 1 (ECU) than Virginia played (Coastal Carolina). Virginia was able to run up the score on a very poor Coastal Carolina team. Virginia will find the going much tougher against the 30th ranked defensive line and 28th ranked linebackers of NC State. NC State should be able to move the ball through the air against the average Virginia defensive backs. Look for NC State to use the home field advantage and their passing game to cover the spread against Virginia.
Saturday, September 6th, 2025:
Ole Miss Vs Kentucky
Vegas: Ole Miss -9.5
College Football Game Picker: Ole Miss by 18.84
Ole Miss boat raced Georgia St in Week 1 to show that there is life after departed NFL QB Jaxson Dart. Kentucky struggled to an 8 point win over Toledo. Ole Miss should be able to keep the run first Kentucky offense in check with its 26th ranked defensive line and 27th ranked linebackers. Ole Miss will be able to move the ball through the air and on the ground against an average Kentucky defense. Look for 6th ranked Ole Miss to establish its offense and cover the spread against 51st ranked Kentucky.
Saturday, September 6th, 2025:
Texas St. Vs UTSA
Vegas: UTSA -4.5
College Football Game Picker: UTSA by 11.91
This is an instate matchup against two pretty good mid range teams. UTSA matches up well against Texas St. The big advantage will be for the veteran UTSA offense (39th ranked QB, 24th ranked receivers, and 37th ranked offensive line) going against a very average Texas St. defense (only 2 returning starters). UTSA returns 9 starters on offense which is almost unheard of in the NIL era. Look for 65h ranked UTSA to cover the spread at home against 80th ranked Texas St.
Saturday, September 6th, 2025:
Army Vs Kansas St.
Vegas: Kansas St. -16.5
College Football Game Picker: Kansas St. by 21.58
Army was coming off one of its best seasons in a while, but got beat by FCS Tarlington St. in Week 1. Kansas St. should be able to move the ball at will on Army with its 22nd ranked QB, 41st ranked offensive line, 29th ranked running backs, and 36th ranked receivers. Army’s run first offense will struggle to move the ball against the 27th ranked defensive line and 20th ranked linebackers of Kansas St. Look for 45th ranked Kansas St. to cover the spread with its offensive advantage against 94th ranked Army.
Saturday, September 6th, 2025:
Memphis Vs Georgia St.
Vegas: Memphis -13.5
College Football Game Picker: Memphis by 20.50
Memphis started the season by rolling over Chattanooga while Georgia St. got demolished by Ole Miss. Memphis used its veteran offensive line to run all over Chattanooga in Week 1. Memphis will be able to do the same thing against Georgia St. Georgia St. is very average on offense and won’t be able to hang with Memphis on the scoreboard. Look for 72nd ranked Memphis to cover the spread with its offensive advantage against 126th ranked Georgia St.
Saturday, September 6th, 2025:
Arizona St. Vs Mississippi St.
Vegas: Arizona St. -6.5
College Football Game Picker: Arizona St. by 16.22
Arizona St and Mississippi St. both had respectable wins in Week 1. Arizona St. will have a big mismatch with its 7th ranked QB, 29th ranked offensive line, 28th ranked running backs, and 20th ranked receivers going against a very average Mississippi St. defense. Mississippi St won’t be able to take advantage of the average defensive line of Arizona St with its average offensive line. Arizona St is very strong in pass defense and will be able to shut down the Mississippi St. pass offense. Look for 39th ranked Arizona St. to cover the spread against 57th ranked Mississippi St.
