Week 3

(Saturday, September 18th )Boston College Vs Temple

Vegas  Boston College -14    College Football Game Picker  Boston College by 28.17

Boston College should be able to move the ball at will against Temple with its 18th ranked receivers, 9th ranked offensive line, and experienced QB2 Dennis Grosel who took over last week after QB1 Phil Jurkovec went down with a hand injury. Temple may be without their starting QB in D’Wan Mathis. Temple was boat raced 61-14 against Rutgers in Week 1 and gave up 24 points in a win against a terrible Akron team in Week 2.  Look for Boston College to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 18th )Mississippi St. Vs Memphis

Vegas  Mississippi St. -3    College Football Game Picker  Mississippi St. by 11.2

Mississippi St. should have a mismatch with its high flying passing game against the Memphis defensive backfield. Mississippi St. found its defense against NC State last week holding the Wolfpack to 10 points. Memphis will be without starting QB Grant Gunnel who went out with a leg injury. Memphis gave up 50 points last week to Arkansas St. The Tigers did score 55 points against Arkansas St., but that won’t happen against Mississippi St. Look for Mississippi St. to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 18th )Middle Tenn. Vs UTSA

Vegas  UTSA  -11    College Football Game Picker  UTSA  by 17.53

UTSA returned 10 starters on offense and 11 starters on defense. After a Week 1 win at Power 5 Illinois, UTSA blew out FCS Lamar 54-0 in Week 2. Surprisingly, UTSA has featured its passing game averaging 300 passing yards per game thus far. MTSU struggled last week against Virginia Tech losing by 3 touchdowns while not being able to establish any running game. Look for UTSA to over power MTSU with its offense and cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 18th )Stanford Vs Vanderbilt

Vegas  Stanford -12    College Football Game Picker  Stanford by 21.94

Stanford and Vanderbilt both looked horrible in Week 1 but rebounded in Week 2. Stanford started 6-6 228lb QB Tanner Mckee in Week 2 and it paid huge dividends with a win over highly ranked USC. Vanderbilt squeaked out a win over 121st ranked Colorado St in Week 2. Stanford should be able to move the ball efficiently against Vanderbilt on offense. Stanford returned a strong Linebacker unit that should be able to slow down any offense 119th ranked Vanderbilt will try to muster. Look for Stanford to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 18th ) Nevada Vs Kansas St.

Vegas  Nevada -1    College Football Game Picker  Nevada by 8.61

Nevada QB Carson Strong (6th Ranked QB in the country) has 693 yards passing in his first 2 games including a win over California.  On the other side of the ball, Kansas St. will be without its starting QB Skylar Thompson due to an injured knee. Nevada’s 39th ranked defensive line should be able to slow down the running attack of Kansas St. Kansas St avoided an upset bid by FCS Southern Illinois and will struggle again without its star offensive player.  Look for Nevada to cover the spread in this one.

(Friday, September 17th )Maryland Vs Illinois

Vegas  Maryland -7    College Football Game Picker  Maryland by 13.25

This will be the 21st ranked Maryland team against the 82nd ranked Illinois team. The real story this year for Maryland has been the play of a healthy Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa who has been unstoppable with the 25th ranked receivers at his disposal. Illinois had a nice win against Nebraska in its opener but has lost two straight now to UTSA and Virginia (42-14). Illinois won’t be able to stop the Maryland passing attack that is averaging 340 yards per game. Look for Maryland to cover the spread in this one.
