Week 2

(Saturday, September 11th )S. Carolina Vs E. Carolina

Vegas  S. Carolina  -2    College Football Game Picker  S. Carolina by 11.02

This will be a game between the trenches where South Carolina should be able to assert it self with its running game. South Carolina led by RB Zaquandre White has the 15th ranked running backs behind the 23rd ranked offensive line. South Carolina has a great game manager at QB in Zeb Noland who was a grad assistant coach this spring with one year of eligibility remaining before putting on the pads this Fall when the QB1 went down with an injury. South Carolina’s 12th ranked defensive line should be able to keep enough pressure on ECU’s QB to slow down the passing game. Take South Carolina to cover the spread.

(Saturday, September 11th )California Vs TCU

Vegas  TCU  -11    College Football Game Picker  TCU by 20.47

TCU matches up really well against California. California struggled in Week 1 against Nevada losing 22-17. TCU returns 10 starters on offense with talent across the board ( 23rd ranked QB, 25th ranked running backs, 26th ranked offensive line, and 28th ranked receivers). TCU should be able to put points on the board against California. TCU, known for its defense, will be loaded this year with an especially stout 7th ranked defensive line. California will struggle to move the ball against TCU. Look for TCU to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 11th ) Texas AM Vs Colorado

Vegas  Texas AM -17    College Football Game Picker  Texas AM  by 26.06

Texas AM should be able to move the ball at will against Colorado with its 1st ranked running backs and 5th ranked receivers. Texas AM is breaking in a new QB in Hayes King who had close to 300 yards passing in Week 1 against a pretty decent Kent St. team. Colorado will struggle to move the ball against Texas AM who has one of the best defenses in the nation (6th ranked defensive line and 6th ranked defensive backs). Look for Texas AM to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 11th )Liberty Vs Troy

Vegas  Liberty -4    College Football Game Picker  Liberty  by 9.06

Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze will return a veteran and talented squad led by sensational QB Malik Willis (ranked 8th in the country).  Liberty also has the 28th ranked offensive line. Liberty returns all 11 starters on offense from a team that went 10-1 last year. Troy will struggle to move the ball against a better than average Liberty defense.  Liberty finished 17th in the polls last year and is even more talented this year. Look for Liberty to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 11th )Washington Vs Michigan

Vegas  Michigan -7    College Football Game Picker  Washington  by 8.77

Vegas is cheating the spread big time in this one. Washington looked awful in Week 1 as they got caught looking past a strong FCS squad in Montana to the big game against Michigan. Expect the Washington Huskie coaching staff to give them a wake up call this week in practice. Washington should be able to move the ball on the ground against Michigan with its 3rd ranked offensive line and 34th ranked running backs. This should help overcome the loss of some of Washington’s WR corps. Washington normally runs a two tight end set which should work well against a somewhat average Michigan defensive line and linebacking group.  Look for Washington to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, September 11th )Utah Vs BYU

Vegas  Utah   -7    College Football Game Picker  Utah   by 13.51

This is a big rivalry known as the Holy War. Each team was able to work out its kinks in Week 1 with nice wins. Vegas is cheating the line because of the rivalry, but Utah should matchup really well against an undermanned BYU squad.  Utah should be able to move the ball effectively on offense behind its 5th ranked offensive line and above average running backs and receivers. Utah’s defense is one of the best in the country (11th ranked defensive line, 13th ranked line backers, and 13th ranked defensive backs). BYU will struggle to move the ball against Utah. Look for Utah to cover the spread in this one.
