Illinois has had an up and down year, but Northwestern has had a down right awful year losing their last 5 games while averaging a dismal 10.8 points per game. In its last 4 games, Illinois has had a win against Penn St. and Minnesota. Illinois should be able to run the ball at will with its 58th ranked rush offense going against the 124th ranked rush defense of Northwestern. Northwestern will once again struggle to put up points on the balanced Illinois defense. Northwestern is averaging -7 against the spread per game. Illinois has played the much more difficult schedule and should cover the spread at home in this one.

5th ranked Notre Dame is still trying to jockey for a playoff position. The Irish will need to win in impressive fashion once again this week against the undermanned 86th ranked Stanford team. Notre Dame should be able to run the ball efficiently with its 74th ranked rush offense going against the 126th ranked rush defense of Stanford. Notre Dame should make it really difficult for Stanford to score points with its 34th ranked rush defense going against the 124th ranked rush offense of Stanford. Stanford will not fair any better with its 73rd ranked pass offense going against the 46th ranked pass defense of the Irish. Look for Notre Dame to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 27th ) – GA Southern Vs Appalachian St.

GA Southern is a run first team that will struggle against the 22nd ranked rush defense of Appalachian St. Appalachian St. should be able to move the ball at will with its balanced offense (29th rush offense and 52nd pass offense) going against the 82nd ranked rush defense and 122nd ranked pass defense of GA Southern. Appalachian St. has played the much the more difficult schedule and will be able to cover the spread in this one at home.

It took most of the season, but Clemson has finally found its offense scoring 48 points against 10th ranked Wake Forest this past weekend. Clemson was finally able to establish its running game running for 4 touchdowns last weekend. Clemson should be able to carry that momentum against the 100th ranked rush defense of the Gamecocks. Clemson’s defense has been able to keep them in games this year and was able to sack the Wake Forest QB 7 times last week. S. Carolina is starting a young QB that will struggle against the stout Clemson defense. 12th ranked Clemson has played the much more difficult schedule and will cover the spread in this one over the 70th ranked S. Carolina Gamecocks.
(Saturday, November 20th ) – Penn St. Vs Michigan St.
Vegas Penn St. -1 College Football Game Picker Penn St. by 8.59
11th ranked Penn St. matches up really well against the 30th ranked Michigan St. team. Penn St. will have a huge mismatch with its 46th ranked pass offense going against the 130th ranked pass defense of Michigan St that gave up 432 yards passing and 6 passing TDs to Ohio St. last weekend. Meanwhile Penn St has been down right stingy on defense ranking 39th in rush defense and 26th in pass defense. Look for Penn St. to air it out and cover the spread in this one.
