La Lafayette is the 49th ranked team versus the 81st ranked team, but somehow Ohio is favored. La Lafayette will have a huge mismatch with it’s 8th ranked rushing offense versus the 117th ranked rush defense of Ohio. Strength of Schedule is compatible between the two teams. La Lafayette returns a veteran team with 8 starters return on offense and 7 starters on defense. Look for La Lafayette to cover in this one.

Temple is the 45th ranked team playing the 105th ranked team of Buffalo. Temple has played a much tougher schedule. Temple is a passing team (ranked 22nd in passing offense) and will have a mismatch versus Buffalo’s 110th ranked pass defense. Buffalo only had 7 starters total return versus Temple’s 13 returning starters. Look for Temple to cover the spread in this one.

Wisconsin has been on a tear this year and had a week off to prepare for Michigan. Michigan has struggled almost losing to Army at home. Wisconsin RB Jonathon Taylor is a Heisman contender with two huge games already under his belt. Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s defense has been incredible ranking 1st against the pass and 3rd against the run. Look for Wisconsin to cover the spread at home against Michigan.


Saturday (September 21st)  – LSU Vs Vanderbilt    LSU 66-38 Winner!

LSU has been rolling and has a Heisman contender in QB Joe Burrow. LSU fans are rejoicing in the fact that they finally have a wide open offense. LSU will have a huge mismatch with it’s 4th ranked passing offense versus the 118th ranked pass defense of Vandy. Vandy will struggle to put points on the board against a strong LSU defense. Look for LSU to cover the spread in this one.


Saturday (September 21st)  – Oklahoma St  Vs Texas  Texas 36-30 Winner!

The Texas pass offense, behind sensational QB Sam Ehlinger, ranks 9th in the country even after playing the preseason ranked #1 pass defense of LSU. Oklahoma St ranks 83rd in pass defense. Texas is strong against the run ranking 19th in the country in rush defense. Oklahoma St is usually a pass slinging team but only ranks 93rd in pass offense while having the 3rd ranked rushing offense. This strengths and weaknesses favor Texas in this one and will allow Texas to cover the spread at home.

After the first week trip up against Auburn, Oregon has been clicking on all cylinders. Stanford, meanwhile, has struggle losing their starting QB and their last two games. Oregon will have a huge mismatch with it’s 13th ranked pass offense against the 99th ranked pass defense of Stanford. Oregon has also been extremely strong against the pass ranking 14th in rush defense. Look for Oregon to continue it’s strong run covering the spread in the conference showdown.
