This Central Michigan pass offense (20th) is a total mismatch for the Akron pass defense (105th). Central Michigan has had a tougher schedule to this point. Central Michigan continues to have two running backs (Devon Spalding and Jerrod Davis) out which is probably why this line is lower. However, in this game, Central Michigan will be airing it out early and often. The Akron offense won’t be able to move the ball much against the Central Michigan defense. Take Central Michigan to cover the spread.

Game 2: San Diego St vs Colorado St (Vegas  San Diego St -3)

(Game Picker  San Diego St by 6.74)

San Diego’s offense led by Donnel Pumphrey should be able to move the ball on Colorado St. especially on the ground. San Diego St’s rush offense (23rd) versus Colorado St’s rush defense (111th) is a mismatch. Colorado St. will try to move the ball thru the air, but will find things difficult as San Diego St’s pass defense is ranked 35th in the nation along with the 11th ranked rush defense. The strength of schedule is almost identical for these two teams. Take San Diego St. to cover the spread.

Game 3:  Air Force vs Hawaii (Vegas  Air Force -5.5  )

(Game Picker  Air Force by 15.85)

AFVsHA

There is a major mismatch with the Air Force rush offense (3rd) against the Hawaii rush defense (117th). Hawaii has been miserable on offense ranking 126th in rush offense and 101st in pass offense against a weak strength of schedule. Meanwhile, Air Force has been steady on defense this year with the (42nd) rush defense and (29th) pass defense. Air Force should be able to run at will and cover this spread.
