Free Weekend Picks for College Football Week 3

In Week 3, we finally have a healthy slate of marquee matchups. There seems to be a great bit of parity this year with the exception of a few teams. The SEC schedule has several great games for this weekend including Alabama vs Ole Miss, LSU vs Auburn,  South Carolina vs Georgia,  and Florida vs Kentucky. I caught a little grief last week for not picking big games for my Free Content picks for the weekend. This week I will pick a game from the SEC, Big Ten, and PAC 12. Detailed stats and information have been posted for every game this weekend in the Season Subscription area. I’m giving you three picks for the weekend that use the College Football Game Picker prediction along with the injury/suspension and weather reports to form incredibly solid picks. Even with a great deal of upsets, the College Football Game Picker has averaged 55% correct in picking every game this year. Anything consistently above 50% will start to get you noticed in Vegas.

Game 1:  Alabama vs Ole Miss  (Vegas  Alabama -7)

College Football Game Picker  (Alabama by 6.04)

Ole Miss shocked Alabama last year and looks to win consecutive games against Alabama for the first time in school history. We knew Ole Miss had one of the top defensive teams in the nation, but nobody expected the offense to be as impressive as it has been. Make no mistake about it, this will be a defensive battle. Ole Miss is averaging 74.5 points per game against cupcakes at home. Chad Kelly will have a 100K fans in his ear as well as Scott Cochran over the loud speakers. So this will be a totally different environment to play in for the first year QB. Alabama’s defense has looked great against the run but has given up some yards thru the air. Look for this to be a tight game probably coming down to a big play at the end. Take Ole Miss to cover the 7 point spread.

Game 2:  Air Force vs Michigan State  (Vegas  Mich St -24.5)

Game Picker ( Mich St by 23.65)

The Michigan State linemen will outweigh the AF linemen by a great deal. AF has both QBs injured. This should be a Sparti Party after last weeks gut check win over the Ducks. Mich State will look to put some points on the board to continue to climb in the polls. Take Michigan State to cover the spread.

Game 3:  Stanford vs USC  (Vegas  USC -9)

Game Picker ( USC by 18.2)

Stanford was an early season pick by many to make the College Football Playoffs. After laying an egg against Northwestern in week 1, Stanford got back on track by beating Central Florida 31-7 in Week 2. USC will give up some yards on defense, but their offense is full of 5 star athletes who average over 600 yards per game thru two games. Look for this to be a high scoring game with USC pulling away to cover the spread.

TV: ABC | MOSTLY CLOUDY, WEST WIND 4-9. GAME TEMP 71, RH 70% HEAT INDEX 73
