This Appalachian St rush offense (10th) is a total mismatch for the Idaho rush defense (121st). Appalachian St has also had a tougher schedule to this point. The power rating for Appalachian St is much higher as well. The Idaho offense won’t be able to move the ball much against the Appalachian St defense. Take Appalachian St to cover the spread.

Game 2: Miami FL @ North Carolina (Vegas North Carolina -12 )

The North Carolina pass offense (25th) has a mismatch on the Miami pass defense (77th). The North Carolina rush offense (27th) also has a mismatch against the Miami rush defense (103rd). The North Carolina rush defense is it’s only weakness (114th), but Miami’s rush offense is ranked (116th) thus negating the weakness. Take North Carolina to cover the spread.

Game 3: Utah St @ Air Force (Vegas Utah St -2 )

Once again there is major mismatch with the Air Force rush offense (2nd) against the Army rush defense (46th). Utah State has a pretty decent rush offense as well. However, Air Force has been steady on defense this year with the (29th) rush defense and (6th) pass defense. The Utah St strength of schedule is slightly stronger than Air Force and thus Utah St being favored. Air Force should be able to run effectively and cover this spread with the home field advantage.
