Week 3

Saturday, September 17th, 2022:

Troy Vs Appalachian St.

Vegas: Appalachian St. -12.5

College Football Game Picker: Appalachian St. by 20.42

Appalachian St. pulled a huge upset on the road last week against Texas A&M. The Mountaineers were rewarded with ESPN Game Day coming to town this weekend and Boone, NC will be sky high. Appalachian St. will be able to move the ball on the ground with its 7th ranked running backs and 29th ranked offensive line. Troy won’t be able to get much going offensively against the Appalachian St. defense that held Texas A&M to only 14 points last weekend. Look for Appalachian St. to cover the spread in this one in the wild atmosphere in Boone, NC.

Saturday, September 17th, 2022:

Ole Miss Vs GA Tech

Vegas: Ole Miss -14.5

College Football Game Picker: Ole Miss by 27.67

This line is another head scratcher by Vegas. Ole Miss should be able to move the ball at will with its talented offense against GA Tech after getting on track scoring 59 points last week. Ole Miss should be able to shut down GA Tech’s offense just as Clemson did in Week 1. Look for 18th ranked Ole Miss to cover the spread against the 99th ranked GA Tech.

Saturday, September 17th, 2022:

C. Florida Vs Florida Atl.

Vegas: C. Florida -8

College Football Game Picker: C. Florida by 17.26

This is another case where a talented team in C. Florida has underachieved in its first two weeks. C. Florida had way too many penalties against Louisville last week but should be able to get those worked out in practice this week. C. Florida is much more talented than Florida Atlantic on both sides of the ball. The 23rd ranked running backs and receivers of C. Florida should be able to move the ball at will against a very average Florida Atlantic defense. Florida Atl. will struggle to move the ball against C. Florida. Look for C. Florida to have a nice bounce back game and cover the spread in this one.

Saturday, September 17th, 2022:

Pittsburgh Vs W. Michigan

Vegas: Pittsburgh -10

College Football Game Picker: Pittsburgh by 22.62

33rd ranked Pittsburgh is another solid squad that has opened up the season with two very difficult teams. W. Michigan does have the 31st ranked running backs, but they will struggle to move the ball against the 2 ranked defensive line and 49th ranked linebackers of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh should be able to move the ball on the ground efficiently with its 17th ranked offensive line and 42nd ranked running backs against an average W. Michigan defense that gave up 30 points to Ball St. last weekend. Look for Pittsburgh to cover the spread in this one.

Saturday, September 17th, 2022:

Michigan St. Vs Washington

Vegas: Washington -3.5

College Football Game Picker: Michigan St. by 12.28

Michigan St. Coach Mel Tucker has the Spartans playing some pretty inspired football behind an experienced defense with 9 starters back. Washington has opened against two very weak opponents in Kent St. and Portland St. Michigan St. has been very solid on offense so far with its experienced QB/Receiver combo of Payton Thore and Jayden Reed and should be able to move the ball on Washington both through the air and on the ground with its 24th ranked running backs. Look for Michigan St. to cover the spread in this one.

Saturday, September 17th, 2022:

California Vs Notre Dame

Vegas: Notre Dame -10

College Football Game Picker: Notre Dame by 23.90

Notre Dame has struggled in their first two games against a probable playoff team in Ohio St and a hangover game against Marshall. California has opened the season against two very weak opponents and will have to travel all the way across the country to South Bend for this one. Even without their starting QB, Notre Dame is way too talented for this line to be -10 versus 84th ranked California. The 6th ranked defensive line, 10th ranked linebackers, and 5th ranked defensive backs of Notre Dame will be able to shut down the very average California offense. Notre Dame will start Junior QB Drew Pyne who was the #12 QB the year he came out of high school. Look for Notre Dame to cover the spread in this one at home.
