Bowl Season

Monday, December 19th, 2022:

Myrtle Beach Bowl: Marshall Vs UConn

Vegas: Marshall -10

College Football Game Picker: Marshall by 15.51

Marshall finished the season strong winning 5 out of their last 6 games. Marshall will be able to move the ball on the ground with its 38th ranked rush offense going against the 92 ranked rush defense of UConn. The solid Marshall defense (10th ranked rush defense and 52nd ranked pass defense) should be able keep the UConn offense in check. Look for 65th ranked Marshall to cover the spread against 120th ranked UConn.

Tuesday, December 27th, 2022:

Guaranteed Rate Bowl: Oklahoma St. Vs Wisconsin

Vegas: Wisconsin -3

College Football Game Picker: Wisconsin by 5.95

Wisconsin has been very strong defensively (12th ranked rush defense and 29th ranked pass defense) this year and will have the upper hand against the fading Oklahoma St. Cowboys. Oklahoma St. limps into bowl season losing 4 out of its last five games. Wisconsin has played a much more difficult schedule and leads in all but one statistical category. Look for Wisconsin to cover the spread in this one.

Wednesday, December 28th, 2022:

Holiday Bowl: N. Carolina Vs Oregon

Vegas: Oregon -13

College Football Game Picker: Oregon by 14.73

Oregon had won 8 straight games before losing a couple of tight games in their last 3 games of the year. N. Carolina comes into bowl season losing their last 3 games including a loss to unranked Ga Tech. This will probably be a high scoring affair, with two high flying passing attacks. Oregon should be able to move the ball both through the air (16th ranked pass offense against the 114th ranked pass defense of UNC) and on the ground (14th ranked rush offense going against the 86th ranked pass defense of UNC). Oregon has played the much more difficult schedule. Look for Oregon to cover the spread in this one.

Wednesday, December 28th, 2022:

Texas Bowl: Texas Tech Vs Ole Miss

Vegas: Ole Miss -3.5

College Football Game Picker: Ole Miss by 3.78

Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin just signed a whopping new contract and will want to make sure and end the season on a good note. Ole Miss should have a huge advantage with its 3rd ranked rush offense going against the 96th ranked rush defense of Texas Tech. Texas Tech will put some points on the board but won’t be able to hang with the Ole Miss Offense that will have had several weeks for Kiffin to prepare. Look for 19th ranked Ole Miss to cover the spread in this one.

Thursday, December 29th, 2022:

Pinstripe Bowl: Syracuse Vs Minnesota

Vegas: Minnesota -9.5

College Football Game Picker: Minnesota by 10.30

Syracuse won its first 6 games and then proceeded to lose 5 out of its last 6 games. Minnesota has been moving in the other direction winning 4 out of its last 5 games including a win over Wisconsin in its final regular season game.  Minnesota should be a ble to control the game on the ground with its 15th ranked rush offense going against the 73rd ranked rush defense of Syracuse. The 18th ranked rush defense and 7th ranked pass defense of Minnesota should be able to keep Syracuse in check. Look for Minnesota to cover the spread in this one.

Thursday, December 29th, 2022:

Cheeze-It Bowl: Florida St. Vs Oklahoma

Vegas: Florida St. -9.5

College Football Game Picker: Florida St. by 9.93

Florida St. comes into bowl season as one of the hotter teams in college football winning its last 5 games. Oklahoma has been horrible on defense this year and will get exposed by the 20th ranked rush offense and 37th ranked pass offense of Florida St. The running game of Oklahoma won’t be effective when trying to play catchup from behind. Look for the 12th ranked Florida St Seminoles to cover the spread against the 21st ranked Oklahoma Sooners.
