Premium Picks are made public once the games are played.

Week 9

(Saturday, October 31st ) –  Notre Dame Vs Georgia Tech

(Vegas  Notre Dame -19.5 )      (Game Picker Notre Dame by 26.23 )

Notre Dame has dominated in every phase of the game except pass offense. Georgia Tech struggles when it gets behind with a very subpar passing offense thus getting blown out in several games against stronger opponents. Georgia Tech only ranks 61st out of 77 teams with meaningful statistics in rush defense while Notre Dame is 9th is rush offense. This mismatch along with Notre Dames iron curtain defense will allow Notre Dame to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, October 31st ) –  Indiana Vs Rutgers

(Vegas  Indiana -11 )      (Game Picker Indiana  by 19.71 )

Indiana pulled the shocker in the first week of the Big 10 conference play defeating Penn St. in overtime. It wasn’t always pretty, but Indiana’s defense, which returned 9 starters on defense, stepped up when the game was on the line. The Hoosiers will find the going much easer against Rutgers that is breaking in a new coaching staff with very little live practice time. Indiana also returns 8 starters on offense including all of the skilled positions. Look for Indiana to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, October 31st ) –  Wisconsin Vs Nebraska

(Vegas  Wisconsin -3 )      (Game Picker Wisconsin by 26.08

Wisconsin returns a loaded team that ranked in the top 10 preseason. Wisconsin should be able to move the ball efficiently on the ground against a young Nebraska defense that only returned 5 starters on defense. The Wisconsin defense returns 9 starters on defense and will be one of the best in the country this year. Wisconsin will be holding tryouts this week at QB after the top three QBs may be out for this game. Thus the line by Vegas. It won’t matter as Wisconsin will be able to move the ball on the ground and stifle the Cornhuskers with their stout defense. Look for Wisconsin to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, October 31st ) –  Boise St. Vs Air Force

(Vegas  Boise St. -13.5 )      (Game Picker Boise St. by 14.86 )

As mentioned last week, Boise St will return one of the best young QBs in the country in QB Hank Bachmeier. This team could go undefeated in the Mountain West with the returning talent at skilled positions. Boise St destroyed Utah St last week 42-13. Air Force struggled against San Jose St. last week only scoring 6 points as Air Force is playing without its starting QB Donald Hammond.  Look for Boise St. to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, October 31st ) –  Mississippi St. Vs Alabama

(Vegas  Alabama  -32 )      (Game Picker Alabama by 20.39 )

Mississippi St has been surprisingly strong on defense ranking 10th in rush defense and 14th in pass defense. Alabama will score points but the 32 point spread is too high considering the struggles Alabama has had in pass defense ranking 60th out of 77 teams with stats. Mississippi St has the 6th ranked pass offense and should be able to put up a couple of touchdowns on Alabama. Mississippi St will be working all week to cut down of the turnovers. Look for Mississippi St to cover the spread in this one.

(Saturday, October 31st ) – N. Carolina  Vs Virginia

(Vegas  N. Carolina -6.5 )      (Game Picker N. Carolina by 7.5 )

North Carolina has been a bit up and down this year, but seems to be trending in the right direction after defeating its rival NC State last week 48-21. Virginia has been horrible on pass defense ranking 65th out 77 teams with stats. Virginia is currently riding a four game losing streak and things will get only tougher against an extremely talented North Carolina squad featuring one of the best QBs in the country in Sam Howell. N. Carolina rushed for 326yars last week in a balance offensive attack. Look for N. Carolina to put up plenty of points and cover the spread in this one.
