(Friday, December 18th ) – Nebraska Vs Rutgers Winner!!

Both of these teams have had an up and down year. There have been rumblings about Nebraska Coach Frost’s job. Coach Frost fortunately will have a good match up as far as strengths and weaknesses against Rutgers. Nebraska will be able to move the ball on the ground with its 49th ranked rush offense against the 90th ranked rush defense of Rutgers. Rutgers starting QB went out with a ankle injury last week, but was still able to squeak out a win versus a weak Maryland defense with its backup QB. Nebraska will bring more to the table defensively and will be able to hold Rutgers offense in check. Nebraska has played a much tougher schedule and still leads Rutgers in most statistical categories. Look for Nebraska to cover the spread in this one.

Tennessee broke a six game losing streak this past weekend with a fools gold win against Vanderbilt. Vols fans are now saying they have found their QB in Harrison Bailey. Texas AM will bring a much tougher defense that will bring the Vols back down to earth after the Vandy win. Texas AM will be playing with something to prove for the playoff committee. Texas AM will have a mismatch with its 64th ranked pass offense versus the 109th ranked pass defense of Tennessee. Look for Texas AM to cover the spread in this one.
La Lafayette Vs Coastal Carolina Cancelled

Coastal Carolina has been one of the surprise teams of the year playing consistently on both sides of the ball. Coastal Carolina will be able to take advantage of strengths and weaknesses against La Lafayette. Coastal Carolina will have a big mismatch with its 14th ranked rush offense versus the 86th ranked rush defense of La Lafayette. La Lafayette is a run first team but will have to run against the 34th ranked rush defense of Coastal Carolina. Look for Coastal Carolina to cover the spread in this one trying to get in the conversation for a New Years bowl game.

Wisconsin matches up well against Minnesota and has played a brutal schedule compared to Minnesota. Wisconsin has not had any issues on defense ranking 6th in rush defense and 11th in pass defense. Scoring has been the problem thus far for Wisconsin. The Badgers will have a mismatch with its 58th ranked rush offense going against the 110th ranked rush defense of Minnesota. Look for Wisconsin to shut down Minnesota and grind out plenty of points with the running game to cover the spread in this one.

Penn St struggled early in the season, but has put together three straight solid wins against Michigan, Rutgers, and Michigan St. The strength of Illinois is its run offense ranking 27th. Penn St. has the 27th ranked rush defense and has been shutting teams down the past three weeks. Penn St will be able to move the ball on the ground with its 64th ranked rush offense versus the 120th ranked rush defense of Illinois. Look for Penn St. to continue rolling and cover the spread in this one.

Arizona St will have a huge mismatch with its 19th ranked rush offense versus the 95th ranked rush defense of Oregon St. Arizona St has played a much more difficult schedule and leads Oregon St in almost every statistical category. Look for Arizona St to cover the spread in this one and be one of the young teams to watch going forward.
