Week 9
(Saturday, October 26th) – Illinois Vs Purdue
(Vegas Purdue -7.5 ) (Game Picker Purdue by 12.02 )
Illinois had a tremendous upset against Wisconsin this past weekend. However, Purdue matches up well against Illinois with it’s 9th ranked rush offense against the 77th ranked rush defense of Illinois. Purdue has played a much tougher schedule but leads Illinois in most statistical categories. Purdue has struggled in pass defense, but Illinois pass offense only ranks 102nd. Look for Purdue to bring Illinois off it’s cloud and cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, October 26th) – San Jose St Vs Army
(Vegas Army -9 ) (Game Picker Army by 16.31 )
Army laid an egg versus a surprising Georgia St team last week. Look for Army to bounce back in the game by taking advantage of a huge mismatch with it’s 17th ranked rushing attack versus the 124th ranked rush defense of San Jose St. San Jose’s strength is it’s 8th ranked pass offense. Army has been strong in pass defense ranking 16th in the county. Look for Army to bounce back at home and cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, October 26th) – C Florida Vs Temple
(Vegas C Florida -8.5 ) (Game Picker C Florida by 14.8 )
This is the 18th ranked team against the 66th ranked team. C Florida has played a more difficult schedule but leads mostly every statistical category. C Florida will have it’s 4th ranked pass offense going against the 81st ranked pass defense of Temple. Look for C Florida to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, October 26th) – New Mexico Vs Hawaii
(Vegas Hawaii -9.5 ) (Game Picker Hawaii by 16.87 )
Hawaii has been up and down this year. When they have clicked, it has been against bad pass defenses. Hawaii will have a huge mismatch with it’s 15th ranked pass offense going against the 130th ranked pass defense of New Mexico. New Mexico won’t be able to depend on it’s run offense once it falls behind early. Look for Hawaii to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, October 26th) – Washington St Vs Oregon
(Vegas Oregon -13.5 ) (Game Picker Oregon by 18.08 )
Oregon has been the one steady team in the PAC12 conference and will be looking to make a statement against the Washington St Cougars. Washington St has been horrible on pass defense (109th) and will not be able to stop the 25th ranked pass offense of Oregon. Washington St is a pass first team and will struggle to move the ball against Oregon’s 13th ranked pass defense. Look for Oregon to continue to run up scores in hope of a playoff spot and cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, October 26th) – Oklahoma St Vs Iowa St
(Vegas Iowa St -8.5 ) (Game Picker Iowa St by 13.33 )
Iowa St has quietly become a contender for the Big 12 conference tile along with Oklahoma. Iowa St will have a huge mismatch with it’s 6th ranked pass offense going against the 104th ranked pass defense of Oklahoma St. Iowa St will be able to slow down the Oklahoma St rush offense with it’s 32nd ranked rush defense. Iowa St will get an early lead and force Oklahoma St to pass the ball which won’t be good for the Cowboys and the man Coach Gundy. Look for Iowa St to cover the spread in this one.
