2019 College Football Week 6 Premium Picks Against the Spread

Premium Picks went 3-3 for Week 5.

The Premium Picks are put out on Monday. You want to go ahead and get your locks in before the lines start moving.  They certainly have moved in the direction of the Game Picker locks this week.

Week 6


(Saturday, October 5th) N Carolina Vs GA Tech 

(Vegas  N Carolina -8.5 )     (Game Picker N Carolina by 21.02  )

North Carolina came within an eyelash of beating Clemson this past weekend giving the young team a ton of confidence. GA Tech is still trying to find it’s identity under first year coach Geoff Collins. This is the 41st ranked team playing the 103rd ranked team. North Carolina will have a mismatch against the 114th ranked rush defense of GA Tech. North Carolina has played a much tougher schedule thus far (5th ranked strength of schedule). Look for North Carolina to cover the spread in this one.


(Saturday, October 5th) Oklahoma St  Vs Texas Tech 

(Vegas  Oklahoma St  -8.5 )      (Game Picker Oklahoma St by 15.63  )

This is one of those games like Hawaii last week that has a glaring mismatch. Oklahoma St has the 1st ranked rush offense versus the 102nd ranked rush defense of Texas Tech presenting a major mismatch. Oklahoma St has played a much more difficult schedule. This is the 22nd ranked team playing the 71st ranked team. Look for Oklahoma St to cover the spread in this one.


(Saturday, October 5th)California Vs Oregon 

(Vegas  Oregon -17.5 )      (Game Picker Oregon by 22.01  )

California had a pretty good run being the last undefeated team in the Pac12. Oregon after a slip up early against Auburn has played lights out with it’s veteran team. Oregon has played the 4th toughest strength of schedule in the country and still leads California in every statistical category. Oregon will continue to run up scores in hopes of a playoff position. Look for Oregon cover the spread in this one.


(Saturday, October 5th)Texas Vs W Virginia 

(Vegas  Texas -10 )      (Game Picker Texas by 16.9  )

This is the 17th ranked team playing the 80th ranked team. Texas main weakness has been their pass defense. W Virginia only ranks 92nd in pass offense. Texas will be able to move the ball thru the air with it’s 9th ranked pass offense versus the 47th ranked pass defense of W Virginia. Texas leads W Virginia in every statistical category except pass defense and has played a much more difficult schedule. Look for Texas to cover the spread in this one.


(Saturday, October 5th)Memphis Vs La Monroe 

(Vegas  Memphis -13.5 )      (Game Picker Memphis by 19.91  )

This is another game with a glaring mismatch. Memphis will have it’s 29th ranked rushing offense going against the 120th ranked rush defense of La Monroe. Memphis, meanwhile has been sneaky good on defense ranking 1st in pass defense and 60th in rush defense. Memphis got it’s passing game going late against Navy. Look for Memphis to continue it’s run and cover the spread in this one.


(Saturday, October 5th)Boise St Vs UNLV 

(Vegas  Boise St -21.5 )      (Game Picker Boise St   by 27.72 )

This is the 33rd ranked team versus the 119th ranked team. Boise St should be able to run the ball with it’s 12th ranked rush offense. Boise St has been stout on defense ranking 13th against the run and 54th against the pass. Boise St has played a much more difficult schedule and has a veteran team to compliment the great true freshman QB Hank Bachmeier. Look for Boise St to cover the spread in this one.
