Pittsburgh has played a much more difficult schedule than GA Tech and is ranked 52nd versus GA Tech’s 97th ranking. Pittsburgh has been very strong on defense especially against the run (9th ranked rush defense in the country). GA Tech is still a couple of years away from opening up their offense and depends on the run still. Pittsburgh should be able to move the ball thru the air with their 39th ranked pass offense. Look for Pittsburgh to cover the spread in this one.

Michigan has finally found it’s stride the past couple of weeks. After blowing out Notre Dame last week, Michigan is playing with confidence and looking to make a statement and ruin Ohio St’s season later on. Maryland started out strong but has struggled mightily in the second part of the season. This will be the 10th ranked team against the 60th ranked team. Michigan has played a much more difficult schedule and leads every statistical category by a good bit. Look for Michigan to continue rolling and cover the spread in this one.

This will be the 21st ranked Cincinnati Bearcats versus a terrible 115th ranked East Carolina team. Cincinnati has played the 19th toughest schedule versus the ECU’s 114th ranked schedule. Cincinnati will have a huge mismatch with it’s 48th ranked rush offense versus the 118th ranked rush defense of East Carolina. East Carolina is a pass first team, but Cincinnati ranks 43rd in pass defense. Look for Cincinnati to cover the spread in this one.

Notre Dame will be a bunch of angry Irishmen after having their butts handed to them against Michigan this past week. Fortunately, they get the perfect team to cure their ailments. This will be the 14th ranked team playing the 79th ranked team. Notre Dame has played an extremely difficult schedule (7th) and leads VA Tech (92nd strength of schedule ranking) in virtually every statistical category. Notre Dame will be able to move the ball thru the air with it’s 43rd ranked pass offense versus VA Tech’s 112th ranked pass offense. Look for Notre Dame to cover the spread in this one at home.

(Vegas Kansas St -5 ) (Game Picker Kansas St by 12.6 )
Kansas St knocked off Oklahoma in a monumental upset this past week. Meanwhile, Kansas had an upset of it’s own against Texas Tech. Kansas is playing much more inspired football but simply does not have the talent to hang with Kansas St. This is the 39th ranked Kansas St team playing the 99th ranked Kansas team with a 6 point spread. Kansas St will be able to expose Kansas with it’s 43rd ranked pass offense versus Kansas’s 120th ranked pass defense. Look for Kansas St to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 2nd) – Mississippi St Vs Arkansas

Arkansas looked helpless against Alabama’s second string QB and only put up 7 points on a freshman laden defense. Mississippi St had an off game against Texas AM this past week end as well. Mississippi St matches up well against Arkansas. This will be the 40th ranked Bulldogs against the 89th ranked Hogs of Arkansas, Mississippi St has played the 12th toughest schedule versus the 66th ranked strength of schedule for Arkansas. Mississippi St will use it’s running game (38th ranked rush offense versus the 106th ranked rush defense of Arkansas to control the tempo. Look for Mississippi St to cover the spread in this one.
