Friday (September 21st) –  Penn St Vs Illinois  Penn St 63-24 Winner!

4-0 for Thursday/Friday Picks this year!

(Vegas Penn St -26.5 )      (Game Picker Penn St by 28.01  )

After the first game jitters against Appalachian St, Penn St has been rolling. Penn St has averaged 57 points a game in its last two games. Illinois is a run first team and will have trouble running against Penn St’s 8th ranked defensive line. Penn St should be able to move the ball at will against the 118th ranked pass defense of Illinois. Look for Penn St to cover the spread in this one.

Saturday (September 22nd)  –  Ohio Vs Cincinnati   Cincinnati  34-30 Loss

Cincinnati won the second half 27-6. Asleep at the wheel in the first half unfortunately.

(Vegas Cincinnati -7.5 )      (Game Picker Cincinnati by 14.92  )

Cincinnati has been one of the surprise teams of the year thus far. Cincinnati’s defense has only allowed 7 points in the last two games. Cincinnati is averaging +19 against the spread so far as Vegas has had a hard time gaging this team (similar to South Florida last year). Cincinnati should be able to move the ball on the ground against Ohio and may choose to go thru the air as well against Ohio’s 129th ranked pass defense. Look for Cincinnati to cover the spread in this one.

Saturday (September 22nd)  –  W Michigan Vs GA State   W Michigan 34-15  Winner!

(Vegas W Michigan -7 )      (Game Picker W Michigan by 16.31  )

W Michigan scored 42 points on Syracuse in its first game. On offense, other than the Michigan (one of the best pass defense in the country) game, W Michigan has been unstoppable thru the air. Georgia St has one of the countries worst pass defenses (119th) and will not be able to keep W Michigan out of the end zone. W Michigan has the 38th toughest strength of schedule vs Georgia St’s 113th ranked schedule, but leads in all statistical categories except rush defense. Look for W Michigan to cover the spread in this one.

Saturday (September 22nd)  –  Stanford Vs Oregon  Stanford 38-31  Winner!

(Vegas Stanford -1 )      (Game Picker Stanford by 5.828  )

Oregon has the 129th easiest strength of schedule (SOS) and still trails Stanford in all statistical categories except rush offense.  Stanford has already covered the spread against San Diego St and USC early in the season without unleashing it rush offense behind RB Bryce Love. The Stanford QB has been excellent thus far and has found a passing game that keeps defenses from stacking the box. Oregon struggled against San Jose St last week and will have trouble moving the ball against Stanford’s stout defense. Look for Stanford to cover the spread in this one.

The season is off to a great start! Let’s keep in rolling!
