Friday (September 7th) – TCU Vs Southern Methodist TCU 42-14 Winner!

This may seem a little confusing to take the team that is not favored by Game Picker. This is where intangibles come into play. SMU has a new coach Sonny Dykes that is implementing a new system. The Mustangs were horrible against North Texas last week losing 46-23. This is a matchup with #21 TCU against #103 SMU. TCU will be strong on defense and should be able to shut down the SMU offense thus quieting the SMU Friday night crowd. SMU gave up 546 yards of total offense last week to North Texas. TCU will have a much better offense. Look for TCU to cover the spread in this one.
Saturday 9/08 – Mississippi St vs Kansas St Mississippi 31-10 Winner!

Mississippi St’s QB will be in catchup mode to get his Heisman campaign back on track after being suspended in the first game of the season. Kansas St is always prepared with the obviously less talented roster. However, Miss St will simply have too much firepower on offense with Nick Fitzgerald returning along with 9 starters on offense. The Bulldog defense is also loaded and should be able to keep Kansas St’s offense in check. Look for Miss St to cover the spread in this one.
Saturday 9/08 – Wyoming Vs Missouri Missouri 40-13 Winner!

Missouri starting clicking at the end of the season last year ( averaging over 50 points a game in their last 6 games) and seems to primed for another great season beating UT Martin 51-14 in Week 1. Missouri QB Drew Lock is a future NFL QB behind one of the best offensive lines in college football. Missouri also brings in the #12 receiving unit in the nation. Wyoming has a decent defense, but will be no match for the Tigers offense. Wyoming will not be able to generate a lot of offense against Missouri. Look for Missouri to cover the spread in this one.
Saturday 9/08 – Penn St Vs Pittsburgh Penn St 51-6 Winner!
(Vegas Penn St -7.5 ) (Game Picker Penn St by 22.70 )
Penn St was obviously looking past Appalachian St the first game of the season. It’s always risky to take a dog at home in a rivalry game, but Penn St simply has too much talent on both sides of the ball. Penn St should be able to move the ball and put up points against the outmanned Panthers defense. Look for Penn St’s defense to bounce back this week against a Pittsburgh squad that only returns 4 offensive starters. Penn St will cover the spread in this one.
