Friday ( September 29th ) – BYU Vs Utah St

This is an in state rivalry of sorts. BYU QB Tanner Mangum is out and BYU has struggled. Meanwhile Utah St has played above expectations. BYU and Utah St have similar SOS but Utah St ranks much higher in every category. Utah St has been able to use a balanced offense to move the ball effectively this year (69th rush offense and 60th pass offense). Meanwhile, BYU has the (129th) rush offense and (119th) pass offense. BYU is -14 against the spread average this year and have just not been the same team without Mangum. Look for Utah St to cover the spread at home in this one.
Saturday (September 31st) – Georgia Vs Tennessee
(Vegas Georgia -7 ) (Game Picker Georgia by 12.12 )
Tennessee is known for playing to the level of their competition. However, Georgia’s strengths matchup well against Tennessee. Georgia will have it’s (39th) ranked rush offense led by RB Nick Chubb versus Tennessee’s (122nd) ranked rush defense. Georgia has been stout on defense versus the (9th) SOS this year with the (34th) ranked rush defense and (12th) ranked pass defense. Vol fans are already calling for HC Butch Jones job. This game will not help that cause. Georgia will expose the mismatches and cover the spread in this one.
Oklahoma St Vs Texas Tech

Oklahoma St suffered a set back against TCU this past weekend and will be playing angry. Look for Oklahoma St’s (4th) ranked pass offense to expose Texas Tech’s (120th) ranked pass defense. Texas Tech has been able to sling the ball around pretty well, but will be going against a much improved (40th) ranked Oklahoma St pass defense. Oklahoma St has the (15h) ranked SOS and has played very well this year until the speedbump last week. Look for Oklahoma St to expose the pass defense of Texas Tech to cover the spread in this one.
Memphis Vs Central FL

This game was scheduled for earlier in the season but was rescheduled as a result of the hurricane. On paper this is a mismatch and it looks like Vegas may have missed the boat on this one. UCF This will be the first team Memphis has not played a good defense yet this year and will struggle on the road against UCF. This Vegas spread is certainly a head scratcher and may be the result of the confusion of the rescheduling of this game over the GA State game for Memphis. Regardless, look for Central Florida to cover the spread in this one.
