Memphis struggled early against Temple last week, but came back strong in the second half. Tulane has a very weak strength of schedule. Memphis main weakness has been their pass defense (113th). Tulane will not be able to take advantage of that weakness as they come in with their pass offense ranked (123rd). Memphis will be able to run the ball effectively on Tulane just as they did Temple to cover the spread in this one.

Look for Ball St to control the tempo in this one and cover the spread.

Miami had a tough loss against Florida St last week. The Hurricanes match up well this week against North Carolina. The strength of the Tar Heels offense is their passing attack with first year QB Mitch Trubisky. Miami, however, has the 8th best pass defense in the nation. This game will come down to who ever can establish the run. Miami will be able to run the ball on North Carolina’s generous rush defense (109th). Look for Miami to cover the spread in this one.
