Game 1: Central Michigan vs Ball State (Vegas  Central Michigan -7)

This Central Michigan pass offense (20th) is a total mismatch for the Ball State pass defense (102nd). Central Michigan has had a much tougher schedule to this point. Central Michigan has two running backs (Devon Spalding and Jerrod Davis) out which is probably why this line is lower. However, in this game, Central Michigan will be airing it out early and often. The Ball State offense won’t be able to do much against the Central Michigan defense. Take Central Michigan to cover the spread.

Clemson’s offense led by DeShawn Watson should be able to move the ball on Miami especially thru the air. Miami will try to move the ball thru the air, but will find things difficult as Clemson’s pass defense is ranked 20th in the nation. Clemson has been tested with a very difficult schedule mostly at home. If Clemson can continue its level of play that they have achieved at home, this shouldn’t be close. Take Clemson to cover the spread.

Game 3: Fresno State vs Air Force (Vegas  Air Force -17)

There is a major mismatch with the Air Force rush offense (5th) against the Fresno State rush defense (116th). Fresno State has been miserable on offense ranking 111th in rush offense and 115th in pass offense against a weak strength of schedule. Meanwhile, Air Force has been steady on defense this year with the (47th) rush offense and (31st) pass defense. Air Force should be able to run at will and easily cover this spread.
