Week 3
Saturday, September 14th, 2024:
Oregon Vs Oregon St.
Vegas: Oregon -15.5
College Football Game Picker: Oregon by 27.87
Oregon is like a wounded dog ready to fight after winning their first two games in close fashion. Oregon St. only returned 4 starters on offense and 1 starter on defense. Oregon should be able to move the ball at will on Oregon St. with its 3rd ranked QB, 1st ranked receivers, 3rd ranked offensive line, and 16th ranked running backs. Oregon St. has played pretty well against lesser opponents but will be completely outmatched on this one. Look for Oregon to pull away in this one and cover the spread.
Saturday, September 14th, 2024:
Utah Vs Utah St.
Vegas: Utah -17.5
College Football Game Picker: Utah by 39.69
Much like the Oregon/Oregon St matchup, Utah just has too much talent on both sides of the ball for Utah St. to hang around in this game. Utah should be able to move the ball at will through the air with its 7th ranked QB (Even if Cam Rising isn’t able to go), 17th ranked receivers, and 19th ranked offensive line going against an average Utah St. defense. Utah St. will struggle to move the ball against the always stout Utah defense. Look for 12th ranked Utah to cover the spread in this one against 116th ranked Utah St.
Saturday, September 14th, 2024:
Ole Miss Vs Wake Forest
Vegas: Ole Miss -20.5
College Football Game Picker: Ole Miss by 37.52
Ole Miss has been unstoppable on offense scoring a combined 128 points in its first two games while allowing one field goal to MTSU. The Wake Forest defense will have no answers for the 5th ranked QB, 4th ranked receivers, 13th ranked offensive line, and 13th ranked running backs of Ole Miss. Meanwhile, Ole Miss has found a defense that it sorely needed the past few years. Wake Forest’s pass first offense will struggle to move the ball against the 23rd ranked defensive backs of Ole Miss. Look for 5th ranked Ole Miss to cover the spread against 78th ranked Wake Forest.
Saturday, September 14th, 2024:
S. Florida Vs Southern Miss
Vegas: S. Florida -10.5
College Football Game Picker: S. Florida by 21.88
S. Florida is sneaky good and showed it against Alabama by keeping the Alabama game to a one score game into the 4th quarter. S. Florida returns 18 starters and has strong QB and running back play. Southern Miss only returns 4 on offense and will struggle to move the ball on S. Florida. Southern Miss played Kentucky earlier the season and failed to put a point on the board. S. Florida may be better than Kentucky judging from the whooping Kentucky took at home to S. Carolina this past weekend. Look for 54th ranked S. Florida to cover the spread against 120th ranked Southern Miss.
Saturday, September 14th, 2024:
Arkansas St. Vs Michigan
Vegas: Michigan -22
College Football Game Picker: Michigan by 33.94
Michigan took it on the chin this past week against Texas. The Texas defense was just too much for Michigan and the Texas offense seemed to stay on the field the entire game. This will be a bounce back week in a big way. Arkansas St. will have no answer for the size of the angry offensive and defensive lines of Michigan. They will have heard it all week in practice and will be wanting to dull out punishment. Arkansas St will struggle to move the ball against Michigan and Michigan will be able to move the ball on the ground effectively against Arkansas St. Look for Michigan to cover the spread in this one at home.
Saturday, September 14th, 2024:
Boston College Vs Missouri
Vegas: Missouri -14.5
College Football Game Picker: Missouri by 21.29
This is a game between two pretty good teams. There will, however, be a mismatch with Missouri’s offense (23rd ranked QB, 2nd ranked receivers, 21st ranked offensive line, and 32nd ranked running backs going against an average Boston College defense. Boston College stacked the line against Florida St. because of the Florida St QB’s inability to put the ball on target. That will not be the case with the balance Missouri offense. Boston College has a mobile QB that Missouri will be able to slow down with its 28th ranked D-Line and 17th ranked linebackers. Look for Missouri to cover the line in this one at home.
