Maryland has taken care of business in its first two games while Virginia is 0-2 with a loss to first year FBS James Madison this past weekend. Maryland should have a big mismatch with its 17th ranked QB, 23rd ranked receivers going against a very poor Virginia pass defense. Maryland returns a strong defensive back and line backing crew that should be able to hold Virginia’s offense in check. Look for Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa to be on point in front of a Friday night national audience. Maryland will cover the spread in this one.

Ga. Southern Vs Wisconsin
Vegas: Wisconsin -16.5
College Football Game Picker: Wisconsin by 27.56
Wisconsin will look to rebound in a big way after losing its way against Washington St. last week. Wisconsin will have a huge mismatch with its 5th ranked running backs and 18th ranked offensive line going against a very poor Ga Southern defense that only returned 4 starters. Ga Southern’s running game will struggle against a very stout Wisconsin defense (6th ranked line backers and 31st ranked defensive line). Look for 29th ranked Wisconsin to cover the spread in this one against 95th ranked Ga Southern.

Washington Vs Michigan St.

College Football Game Picker: Washington by 22.62
10th ranked Washington matches up well against 52nd ranked Michigan St. Michigan St.’s weakness is the defensive back crew that will struggle against Washington’s 2nd ranked QB Michael Penix and 2nd ranked receivers. Michigan St. will struggle to move the ball on Washington’s defense that returned 8 starters and has played well in the first two weeks. Michigan St. will be distracted as their head coach Mel Tucker has been suspended without pay. Look for Washington to cover the spread in this one.

Pittsburgh Vs W. Virginia
Vegas: W. Virginia -3
College Football Game Picker: Pittsburgh by 8.70
This is traditionally a big rivalry. Pittsburgh matches up well against the strengths and weaknesses of W. Virginia. W. Virginia will once again try to establish the running game which will be difficult against the 12th ranked defensive line and 18th ranked linebackers of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh should be able to move the ball on the ground with its 48th ranked running backs and 23rd ranked offensive line going against an average W. Virgina run defense. Look for Pittsburgh to cover the line in this one.

Vegas: Syracuse -2.5
College Football Game Picker: Syracuse by 14.1
Syracuse demolished W. Michigan 48-7 in Week 2 and seems to be much better on offense than anticipated. Purdue ranks 102nd in total offense after losing at home to Fresno St in Week 1 and barely getting by Va Tech in Week 2. Syracuse should be able to move the ball on the very average W. Virginia defense. Syracuse returns 7 on defense with the 30th ranked linebackers and 57th ranked defensive line. W. Virginia will struggle to move the ball effectively against Syracuse. Look for Syracuse to cover the spread in this one.

TCU Vs Houston
Vegas: TCU -6.5
College Football Game Picker: TCU by 14.52
TCU hung tough with a surprisingly strong Colorado squad losing in the final minutes. Houston surprised UTSA in a tight game in Week 1 but follow that up with a horrible loss to Rice. TCU should be able to hold the Houston offense in check with its 22nd ranked linebackers and 13th ranked defensive backs. TCU should be able to move the ball both on the ground and through the air against a very poor Houston defense that gave up 43 points to Rice last weekend. Look for TCU to cover the spread in this one.
