Week 12
(Wednesday, November 18th ) – Toledo Vs E. Michigan
(Vegas Toledo -6 ) (Game Picker Toledo by 14.76 )
This is one of those sneaky early week games that has tons of value. Toledo returned 7 starters on both sides of the ball and has experienced skill players. Toledo has a glaring mismatch advantage with its 15th ranked rush offense versus the 125th ranked rush defense of E. Michigan. Toledo has played relatively well on the defensive side of the ball with its rush defense ranking 50th and its pass offense ranking 37th out of 127 teams. Look for Toledo to cover the spread in this one.
(Thursday, November 19th ) – Tulane Vs Tulsa
(Vegas Tulsa -4.5 ) (Game Picker Tulsa by 7.63 )
Tulsa had a great comeback last week to beat another ranked opponent in SMU. Tulsa QB Zach Smith has quietly been having an incredible year. Tulane ranks 111th versus the pass and Tulsa should have a huge advantage with its 47th ranked pass offense. Tulane is a run first team but will have to contend with the 42nd ranked rush defense of Tulsa. Tulsa has played a much more difficult schedule with much better results than Tulane. Look for Tulsa to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 21st ) – Michigan St. Vs Maryland
(Vegas Maryland -5.5 ) (Game Picker Maryland by 11.48 )
This is a tale of two teams going in the opposite direction of one another. Maryland is red hot after riding the success of its transfer QB Taulia Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa competed 18 of 26 passes for 282 yards and three touchdown passes against Penn St. in his last game. Once proud Michigan St. has struggled mightily this year while not being able to find a QB that can manage the game without interceptions. Maryland’s only weakness this year has been run defense. Michigan St. ranks 122nd in rush offense and won’t be able to take advantage of the weakness. Look for Maryland to cover the spread in this one at home.
(Saturday, November 21st ) – Cincinnati Vs C. Florida
(Vegas Cincinnati -4 ) (Game Picker Cincinnati by 6.03 )
This is a huge matchup between two powerhouses in the American Athletic Conference. C. Florida has been able to move the ball at will, but can stop no one on defense ranking 88th in rush defense and 94th in pass defense. Cincinnati has been a big story this year going undefeated and not having anyone really test them thus far. The Bearcat defense returned 9 starters and has been impressive ranking 20th in rush defense and 25th in pass defense. C. Florida won’t be able to keep up with Cincinnati’s powerful offense and defense. Look for Cincinnati to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 21st ) – Wisconsin Vs Northwestern
(Vegas Wisconsin -7 ) (Game Picker Wisconsin by 14.43 )
Wisconsin is probably the best rounded football team with it rush defense, pass defense, and rush offense all ranking in the top 10 out of 127 teams. Wisconsin had its bout with the Covid-19, but seems to have its QBs back after whipping Michigan 49-11 last week. Northwestern is a good team having started the season undefeated, but does not matchup well with Wisconsin. Look for Wisconsin to make a statement in this game to make up for its lack of games played. Wisconsin will cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 21st ) – Georgia Tech Vs Miami FL
(Vegas Miami FL -18 ) (Game Picker Miami FL by 27.55 )
Miami FL had a struggle win in a game against Virginia Tech last week. Virginia Tech had been picked by most of the media motor mounts to upset Miami FL. Ga Tech has had a couple of upsets earlier in the season, but has been blown out their last three games. Miami FL will have a huge mismatch with its 36th ranked pass offense against the 107th ranked pass defense of Georgia Tech. Miami FL has played a much tougher schedule and leads Georgia Tech in every statistical category. Look for Miami FL to cover the spread in this one at home.
