Week 11
(Saturday, November 14th ) – Indiana Vs Michigan St.
(Vegas Indiana -7.5 ) (Game Picker Indiana by 16.59 )
Indiana has been the surprise team of the year so far after starting the season 3-0 with wins over Penn St. and Michigan. Indiana has played extremely well on both sides of the ball. Michigan St sprung an upset on Michigan, but then got blown out 49-7 by Iowa last weekend. Indiana has been rolling on offense and Michigan St only returns 3 starters on defense. Indiana returned 17 starters which has been a golden combination with the shortened practice time due to Covid-19. Look for Indiana to continue to roll and cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 14th ) – N. Texas Vs UAB
(Vegas UAB -14 ) (Game Picker UAB by 15.5 )
UAB is one of the better teams that is on no ones radar. N. Texas has been rolling offensively, but has no defense. UAB will matchup well with N. Texas as UAB has a very strong defense (3rd in pass defense and 39th in rush defense) to combat the N. Texas high flying offense. Meanwhile, UAB will have a huge mismatch with its 17th ranked rush offense versus the N. Texas 77th ranked rush defense. Look for UAB to cover the spread in this one at home.
(Saturday, November 14th ) – USC Vs Arizona
(Vegas USC -13.5 ) (Game Picker USC by 26.12 )
USC is an extremely experienced team (USC with 17 returning starters) with a game under its belt. USC has solid talent across both the offensive and defensive side of the ball but had some ill timed turnovers against Arizona St that cost them a couple of touchdowns. USC used their 4th ranked QB in Kedon Slovis and the 2nd ranked receivers unit in the country to make a huge comeback last week in the final minutes. Arizona will be playing their first game after last weeks game was postponed. Look for the 18th ranked Trojans to cover the spread against the 82 ranked Arizona Wildcats.
(Saturday, November 14th ) – Pittsburgh Vs Georgia Tech
(Vegas Pittsburgh -6.5 ) (Game Picker Pittsburgh by 11.58 )
This game sets up well for Pittsburg as Georgia Tech’s hapless offense will struggle against the 5th ranked rush defense and the 34th ranked pass defense of Pittsburgh. Meanwhile. Pittsburgh will have a huge mismatch with its 29th ranked pass offense against the 62nd ranked pass defense of Georgia Tech. Look for Pittsburgh to cover the spread in this one by taking advantage of the favorable matchup of strengths and weaknesses.
(Saturday, November 14th ) – Oregon Vs Washington St.
(Vegas Oregon -8 ) (Game Picker Oregon by 24.54 )
This is one of those Vegas head scratcher lines where Oregon should be favored by close to two touchdowns in this game. Oregon returns an extremely talented defense with its defensive backs ranking 1st in the country. Washington St is pass happy and will struggle to move the ball against the iron curtain Oregon defense. Oregon will be able move the ball with its talented skilled offensive players against Washington St. that has an all new coaching staff. Look for Oregon to cover the spread in this one.
(Saturday, November 14th ) – Northwestern Vs Purdue
(Vegas Northwestern -1.5 ) (Game Picker Northwestern by 10.42 )
Northwestern has taken advantage of returning 19 starters by opening up the season 3-0. Purdue has also started strong with an experienced team as well. Northwestern has the stronger defensive team in this matchup with the 23rd ranked defensive backs unit and 15th ranked linebackers unit. Northwestern has taken advantage of its veteran offensive line to put up enough points to take advantage of its strong defense by averaging 28 points a game against a touch opening schedule of opponents while only giving up only 12 points a game on defense. Look for Northwestern to cover the spread in this battle of unbeatens.
